1992-2000 2001-2004

1992
Incorporation. Globamatrix Holdings (our current name) starts business in September 1992 under the name of GMX Associates Pte Ltd, marketing a wide range of high performance thin films for the automotive and architectural windows.

1994
June 1994, GMX secures distribution rights from Nasdaq-listed, Southwall Technologies, Inc. (“Southwall”) for its patented XIR high performance solar control films for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. GMX markets product under the brand name V-KOOL.

1996
Southwall extends territories to include the entire South East Asia; and due to further successes in developing these initial markets, Southwall extends our territorial rights to Middle East and North East Asia by mid-1996.

1997
GMX secures the worldwide distribution rights for V-KOOL (excluding the North America market).

1998
Rights to market V-KOOL to North American market extended by Southwall, completes our global distributions rights. Strategically, GMX tightens parallel importation through this control as it now controls the global supply.

1998
V-KOOL Franchise International Pte Ltd (VKI) set up to spearhead the international development of V-KOOL through franchising.

1998
A JV company, V-KOOL Inc., was set up in Texas, USA to service the North and South America markets. V-KOOL Inc. headed by Mr Marty Watts, President, a veteran in the thin film industry with over 10 years of thin-film trade experience.

1999
GMX selected by the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board (currently known as Spring Singapore), a government statutory body, as a Promising Enterprise in 1999.

1999
Spring Singapore infusion of venture capital funds through its investment arm, SISIR International, into Huper Optik International, the Company’s subsidiary established to market a comprehensive range of high performance, moderately dark German-branded window films. GMX and Southwall jointly hold the patent of this product.

1999
The world’s largest Science and Technology magazine, Popular Science awards V-KOOL/XIR technology as one of the top 100 inventions of the millennium, alongside other inventions such as the computer, the internet, air conditioning system and telephone, marking international recognition of the product.

2000
SGS International Certification Services certifies GMX's quality management systems compliant with ISO9002 standards.

2000
GMX wins the prestigious Singapore Franchise Excellence Award for V-KOOL Franchise system.
